The Bachelor of Arts in Communication Program provides an introduction and excellent trainings to Quad-Media-television, Radio, Print and the Internet. It molds young minds to be responsible, value-laden, and competent future communication professionals and practitioners.
The students gain a clear understanding of the ethical significance of, as well as the responsibility involved in the use of print, radio, television, film, and the new media. They are also trained to become proficient in media writing and production for radio, television, film, and other audio-video presentation to meet the ever-changing needs of business and industry.

Media Writing | Introduces writing for the mass media. These forms include: (news and feature stories for print and broadcast; (2) advertising and public relations copy and (3) screenwriting. |
Digital Imaging | Principles, programs, and techniques in improving photos, managing colors and typography, as well as creating new images and designs for print, web, and digital publications. |
Communication, Culture, and Society | Existing and emerging global and national communication media landscape. The role of communication and culture in society with emphasis on the issues in the Philippine setting, including rights and responsibilities of communicators. |
Radio & TV Production | Introduction to the electronic media focusing on their development, function, and artistry. It includes studio practices, procedures and demonstration as related to radio |
Audio-Video Post-Production | Explore the technology, creative application, and requirements for producing audio soundtracks and video for film and video projects. |
Communication Research | The communication research process: principles, methods and techniques in the conceptualization, design, implementation, analysis, interpretation, and utilization of communication studies. |
Communication Media Laws & Ethics | Principles underlying freedom of expression, information, and of the press; statutes dealing with the communication media and their operations; case studies, issues and problems on regulatory and self-regulatory mechanisms including professional codes of ethics. |
Advertising Principles & Practices | The role of advertising in a free market economy and commercial media system; theories on persuasion and advertising; and practical advertising principles and practices integrated in an advertising campaign plan. |
Introduction to Film | History and principles of film; film as art, as medium of communication, and as popular culture; language and grammar of film. |
Multimedia Systems | Covered introduction to multimedia systems, digital video compression techniques, operating system support for digital audio and video, as well as network and transport protocols for multimedia. |
Risk Disaster & Humanitarian Communication | The process of communicating effectively with vulnerable stakeholders prior to, during, and after the onset of risk situations. It also seeks to familiarize students with communication strategies used in humanitarian aid operations, which contribute to the protection of people and property in times of disasters or emergencies. |
Graphic Design | Explores graphic communication through the understanding of the elements and principles of design; as well as, the design process, from the idea development through final execution of a document. |
